How big should a teapot be?
In different scenarios, the size of the teapot is different, depending on the number of people. The standard personal size teapot is a 2-cup teapot. The next size is usually 4 cups, then 6. Very large ones do come in 8 and 10-cup sizes but are used infrequently. Teapot sizes also vary from culture to culture. For example, in Chinese and Japanese tea ceremonies, teapots are much smaller than those in Europe and the United States. A small teapot is more suitable for tasting tea leaves.
